The Asklepios Future Hospital Program

The objective of the Asklepios Future Hospital (AFH) Program is to set new standards of quality and efficiency in the healthcare service and to implement consistency throughout all processes. The program focuses on people, companies and technologies with the ambition to play an active role in shaping the future of healthcare.

The quality and future-proofing of the healthcare system depends significantly on the extent to which treatment, communication and management processes can be designed efficiently, flexibly and – given the constantly changing demands they must fulfil – scalably. The healthcare sector is full of technological innovations and good ideas. Yet the ideas and (IT) solutions that go to make up new approaches generally focus on a single area (out-patients/hospital/rehab) or a single personnel group (nursing/physicians/administration). Instead of attempting to improve individual weaknesses in today’s healthcare system, Asklepios Future Hospital pursues a broad concept aiming to optimize communication between all healthcare service users.
